Sensors & Functions

ISQ

ISQ standard is a built-in pressure and flow sensor for measuring the air flow and calculating the pressure in the box. Room- and duct temperature sensors are also standard equipment. The room sensor is located at the edge of the device where it measures the co-injected air from the active zone. The placement of the room sensor is more representative but also faster than a wall-mounted sensor.

Carbon dioxide and relative humidity (CO2, RH) are not standard equipment but can be installed post installation. The carbon dioxide sensor also provides the opportunity to count the number of people present in the room (+/- 15% and with a certain time delay).

Presence flow, economy and comfort mode as well as lighting control are a few of the functions that can be activated via the highly sensitive integrated presence sensor PIR. The PIR body also has an LED function which in red and blue indicates when the device is heating or cooling.  The LUX sensor is available for constant light control (presence/absence and daylight compensation). Also there is a PMW controlled Buzzer that creates a simple sound when voltage is connected, thus sendning a confirmation signal to the system.

Air flow

The air flow is regulated by the motor-controlled air flow valve in the ballast box. The air velocity out of the diffuser part at a low air flow is maintained through the construction with the self-acting gap opening. The gap openings are adjusted individually to set the desired spread. The air flow is measured via the built-in measuring device.

Room climate control

The built-in processor continuously controls the room for optimal function. This applies to air volumes but also additional heating or cooling. In the event of absence, the device works towards an operating mode that allows greater temperature fluctuations and the use of stored energy in the building’s frame structure. ISQ delivers the desired room climate on its own or in collaboration with other diffusers.

Temperature measurement

ISQ is equipped with both a room- and a duct temperature sensor. A carbon dioxide sensor and a moisture sensor are available as options. The room temperature sensor is located at the edge of the device where it measures the co-injected air from the living zone. The placement of the room sensor on the device provides a more representative and faster measurement value than a wall mounted sensor that not only works worse but is also more expensive.

Presence sensor and light sensor

Presence flow, economy and comfort mode as well as lighting control are functions that are made possible with the help of the integrated presence sensor, which has almost 200 detection zones. The function of the ventilation unit can also be controlled by the degree of presence. The light sensor can be used for constant light control and for optimizing a sun protection function.

Bluetooth®

ISQ is equipped with Bluetooth® for communication via Lindinvent’s mobile application LINDINSIDE. Via the app, operating values can be read and setpoints can be changed. Bluetooth® also enables connection to other external devices.

Network communication

ISQ is addressed with a node-ID in connection with the setting. Each ISQ is physically connected to a loop for communication via the associated junction box. The loop is in turn connected to gateway NCE which communicates via TCP/IP with the parent system. Lindinvent’s web-based tool LINDINSPECT with the server software LINDINTELL is used.

ISQ-M

Air flow
  • The air flow from the ISQ-M is regulated and measured via the duct-mounted damper DCV-RC.
  • An air flow valve in the device is set in a fixed position to achieve an even distribution of the current total supply air flow over several ISQ-M diffusers.
  • The outlet on the diffuser part is limited by four movable discs which individually increase or decrease the gap opening of the device in the outlet with the variation in the air flow. The construction allows blowing of strongly sub-temperate supply air even at low air flows without causing drafts.
  • Air from the device is spread along the ceiling with strong co-injection of room air.
  • The movable discs can, individually, be blocked in a closed position or any intermediate position. The device can be set for a 4-, 3-, 2- or 1-way scatter image.
  • Equipped with nipple for pressure measurement which enables control of the flow in a given operating mode.
  • Device for manual adjustment of the flow valve
