SMID - Insertion Measuring Flange (Circular Duct, Airflow)
+ DOCUMENTATION
The SMID is a measurement unit designed for accurate airflow measurement, particularly in situations where the measurement component needs to be retrofitted into an existing duct. By cutting a hole in the duct and securing the SMID, airflow can be measured and regulated for various purposes. The unit is equipped with dual measurement tubes, enabling simultaneous monitoring while the regulator operates. It is designed to produce a sufficient differential pressure, even at low air velocities, to facilitate accurate flow measurement.
Note: For precise airflow measurement, proper installation is crucial. Since the insertion unit may not always align perfectly with the airflow, this can affect accuracy. For more accurate flow measurement, the SMED should be used instead.
Dimensions:
The SMID is manufactured in standard sizes of:
100, 125, 160, 200, 250, 315, 400, 500, and 630 mm.
